The research conducted within the Food is Life platform focuses on the valorization of bioresources. CARE is developing its expertise in the fields of microbial transformation and food science.

CARE Food is Life offers laboratory and pilot-scale trials.

Projects range from understanding the fundamental mechanisms of raw material transformation to developing solutions tailored to the needs of industry. The aim is to master every stage of the process, from the choice of raw materials to the final product.

• Feasibility studies (TRL 1 to 4)
  CARE Food is Life supports the design and development of new methodologies, processes and products. These studies explore the viability of innovations and help identify the most suitable solutions before they are put into production.

• Process and product prototyping (TRL 5 to 8)
  The team supports the implementation and testing of prototypes, optimizing processes to ensure their efficiency on an industrial scale.

• Analysis and quality control
  The center carries out analyses of raw materials, microbial strains, ingredients and finished products. These assessments ensure the conformity and quality of the products developed.

• Training and support
  CARE "Food is Life" offers training courses tailored to the needs of professionals and researchers, including continuing education, academic and professional training modules to enhance skills in agrifood and bio-industry.
